Silk Road Rally 2025 – An Epic Journey from Leeds to Pamir Highway and Back

We are two friends from Leeds who participated in the 2025 Silk Road Rally and are excited to share our story.

Our eight-week journey began in Leeds and carried us across continents, cultures, and some of the world’s most extraordinary landscapes. The first part of the rally was completed alongside some great friends from the main rally group, crossing Europe, Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, culminating in the legendary Pamir Highway.

From there, the journey took a very different turn. Choosing to continue independently as one car, we travelled back home via Afghanistan and wartime Iran, navigating unfamiliar borders, uncertainty, and the realities of life on the road without the safety net of the rally.

This documentary brings together east and west, exploring distinct cultures, unexpected kindness, and the powerful connections formed along the way. Through remote mountain passes, vast deserts, bustling cities, and border crossings, the film captures both the beauty and the challenges of a long-distance, once-in-a-lifetime journey.
