Chronically Online: A Personal History of the UK Internet
- Fri, 18 Sep
- 7PM-11PM

A night of memes, vlogs and internet ephemera from the minds of your beloved rats with a special guest! In collaboration with CNFW and the BFI.
Rat Depot are back..!
On September 18th they’re joining forces with the comrats from the Creative Nonfiction Film Weekend to bring you an event like no other. Touring the UK, CNFW have gathered a group of chronically online curators in cities across the country to lead guests down their own favourite rabbit holes, shaping the programme around their own sense of local identity. This programme of vlogs, memes, and uncategorisable curiosities will never be the same twice — as unpredictable as a social media scroll.
So join us for an equally feral and ephemeral night of short-form video, extracted from the disgusting, twisted, sexy minds behind Rat Depot.
We’ll also be joined by an online video creator for a special Q&A. Past guests include Paul Weedon (of “I can’t believe you’ve done this” fame) and Harry Davies-Carr, the boy who was bitten in “Charlie Bit My Finger”.
This event is brought to Leeds by Creative Nonfiction Film Weekend and the British Film Institute, in collaboration with the rats. We’re giving this event an age rating of 15. Don’t ask us why, it just is.
Tickets are £6
